Around the Galleries

September 7, 2002

Issues surrounding asylum seekers, immigration and Aboriginal land rights are canvassed in a series of collaborative works by photographer Zoe Ali and writer Christos Tsiolkas on show at Citylights (Centre Place location, city, always open). Four large-scale colour images of the Australian landscape taken by Ali during a visit to the Woomera Detention Centre have been overlaid with text by Tsiolkas. The exhibition, Destination Unknown, continues until November 29.
