Like many of his peers, Lance Mountain began his skateboarding career in the skate park contest circuit, A.S.P.O. 1978-1980.
Going on to ride with the innovative and progressive Variflex team of the early 80’s. Then as a member of the original Bones Brigade, Lance starred in skateboarding's first, full-length company video, The Bones Brigade Video Show. The video showed Lance skating around Los Angeles, eating a banana and asking for directions.
It was clear that he was capable of being as creative in front of a camera as he was on a skateboard. After being a member of one of the most influential teams in skating's history, Lance spent the 90’s running his own board company, The Firm, helping usher in a new generation of skateboarding stars while still innovating on his board.
The inventor of the eggplant and sadplant, California's Lance Mountain has been one of skateboarding's most popular riders for three decades now.
